Artist Janet Kroniter and her student Rubiye Hetgas from Elkhart, one of the sibling municipalities of Kardjali, visited the mayor of Kardjali Hasan Azis. The president of the town council, Seyfi Necib, and the secretary of the Municipality of Kardzhali, Sezgin Bekir, also participated to this meeting.
The visitors had been informed about the new projects of the municipality and expressed that they were impressed by the recent changes they had observed. Janet Kroniter is the member of the Sibling Municipalities Association of Elkhart and has been visiting Kardzhali for the second time. She exhibited her paintings in Kerim’s house, during her first visit. She will also please the Kardzhalians by her exhibition during this trip and will also give a lesson to the students of Vladimir Dimitrov-Majstora high school.
Today, the American guests visited the Washingtn Street, which opened on Day of Kardzhali last year.
There has been a close relationship between Kardzhali and Elkhart for six years. There had been some other visits to both of the cities by different groups, which comprise the culture of the countries.
