Mayor of Kardzhali Eng. Hasan Azis stated that he was worried that the construction of regional waste repository did not start yet. In January it was reported that permission was given for construction of warehouses and procedure between ÇSB and the construction company was completed. Eng. Azis said despite these the construction of the store did not started yet. If this situation continues, 14 million Euros provided by ISPA will not be valid anymore. According to the Mayor the construction company has to take urgent precautionary measures. Despite this, Mayor hopes that from 16 July garbage of Kardzhali will not be sent to Haskovo. The first activity of this project was to destroy the old dump, but it is not realized yet. Project of beltway to warehouse is ready. This project will cost between 2.500.000 and 2.000.000 Levs.
