EKOPAK distributed 450 containers in order citizens to collect the wastes separately due to the campaign “Be Modern! Collect Apart!”. These containers have three divisions for papers, plastics and glass. Besides, they are small and useful.
The idea of these home containers is created as the result of the national research program about the people’s habits about separately collecting the wastes performed by GFK in November 2008 due to the request of EKOPAK. According to the result of that project, the main reason of people not to collect the wastes separately is that they don’t have any opportunity for this at their homes.
By collecting the wastes separately, the people can throw them to the appropriate containers of the municipality in three different colors. Hence, the collected recyclable wastes will be increased.
