Kardzhali won the Water Motor Sport Republic Championship in 2009 with 5219 points. The Minister of Physical Education and Sport, Svilen Neykov, gave the cup to Nikolay Surkov in the ceremony organized in Maritsa Hotel in Plovdiv on 14th of November. Yesterday, N. Surkov gave this cup to the Mayor Eng. Hasan Azis who is also the president of the board of A. Petkov Yoskata Marine Club. The cup will be put into the showcase of championship in the municipality building. In the individual competitions, our sportsmen won medals in seven disciplines. In OC500 category N. Surkov, in OB350 category Ivo Gabrovski won the gold medals. In R1000 category Nikol Radukova and in OA250 category Georgi Kalfov won the silver medals. In SC550 category Kostadin Radukov won the bronze medal. 12-years-old Angel Sevov was in the fourth place in SA250 category, Vasil Cambazov was in fifth place in junior category and Miroslav Mincev was in the sixth place in SC category. Eng. Hasan Azis congratulated all the sportsmen and said that the municipality will continue to support them.
