The best teachers in Kardzhali were deemed suitable for the Daskeer Award. P. R. Sleveyko presented the traditional award statuette to the teachers of the General Secondary Education Councilor. Whole ceremony was appeared in the news bulletin of the Slaveykov TV. The teachers from the greatest schools of South Bulgaria took place in the crowded hall and waited anxiously. Daskeer awards are being given for 9 years. Beside the favorite teachers of each subject, the most attractive teacher and the most active teacher were also given awards.
This year for the first time the best classroom teacher was also awarded. The teachers of the last year student competed for this award. Psychological counselor of the school, Dobrinka Stoyçeva , and teacher counselor, Nenka Sopova were also honored with statuettes because of their deep support to the activities organized by Student Council. The director of the mathematics branch of the school also won a special Daskeer prize due to the success of the students in the international competitions. The celebration terminated with the entry of the 9th year cake to the hall and the play of the school march. At the celebration another version of the “Farewell” Poem of Vaptsaarov was read accompanied by drums.
This year the entry to the Daskeer ceremony was not free of charge as a decision of the Organization Committee. The obtained funds will be deposited to the Aid Funds to the people in Haiti who suffered from the earthquake.
