Yesterday more than 300 children attended to the Masked Ball that was organized by Municipality of Kardzhali and United Children’s Complex. Masked Ball that is organized for 8 years brought many children together. For the first time this year this ball took place outdoor, it was at the arena where the monument of Georgi Dimitrov used to be located formerly.
Children wore the costumes of their favorite fiction and cartoon characters for the carnival. Mostly preferred characters were “Pipi with long socks”, “Spider Man”, “Three Musketeers”, “Hanibal Lekter”, “Batman”, “Lead Soldier” in the Hans Andersen fairytale and princesses.
Characters of the movie “Pirates of the Caribbean” appeared on the stage immediately between the music and children’s voices. Jack Sparrow and Will Turner fought a brave duel. Fight was stopped by “Happy Roger” and the most beautiful character of the movie, Elizabeth. These characters were also the announcers of the Spring Ball. The 4th class students of the Schools Yordan Yovkov, Otets Paisiy, Vladimir Dimitrov – Maystora, P. R. Slaveykov, Kliment Ohridski, Vasil Levski and Sv. Sv. Kiril and Metodius presented their costumes.
With the efforts of all the students and the announcers 19 of the 4th class students from 7 schools prepared an entertaining and colorful carnival parade for the Kardzhalians.
The carnival lasted 2 hours and as each year the participants with the most interesting costumes were selected by painter Emil Penchev, painter Sevinch Ahmet and composer Dimitir Ganev.
To make all the children happy the organizers gave each class a football ball and presents and colorful glasses to the 40 of the children.
